Autodesk 3ds Max 64-bit Project Geppetto is an experimental crowd and character animation extension for 3ds Max that helps you quickly populate scenes with believable pedestrian activity. Through an interactive path- and zone-based workflow, you sketch routes (such as sidewalks, plazas, and stairs), and the tool generates procedural, collision-aware motion with natural variation. The resulting characters and animations integrate with standard 3ds Max workflows for editing and rendering. Ideal for architectural visualization, previsualization, and urban design, it significantly reduces the time required to add human context to large environments. Originally released as a technology preview, Project Geppetto later evolved into the Populate feature in 3ds Max. Requires a 64-bit installation of Autodesk 3ds Max.
